(February 23, 2022)--A newly hired Civil Service Mariner (CIVMAR) uses a CO2 fire extinguisher to put out a simulated trash can fire at the Military Sealift Command Training Center East on Joint Base Langley-Fort Eustis, Virginia, Feb. 23. The training evolution was part of the MSC Basic Training Damage Control curriculum, which must be successfully completed prior to sailing in MSC's fleet of ships.
