ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 13, 2023) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Camron Bruns fires a shot-line from the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS McFaul (DDG 74) to the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS William McLean (T-AKE 12) during a replenishment-at-sea, March 13, 2023. McFaul, part of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, is underway in the Atlantic Ocean completing a composite training units exercise (COMPTUEX) an intense, multi-week exercise designed to fully integrate a carrier strike group as a cohesive, multi-mission fighting force and to test their ability to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
