Command Senior Chief Brian A. “Tito” Santa Cruz, a native of Fort Worth, Texas reported for basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois in in October 2004

Senior Chief Santa Cruz completed Aviation Maintenance Administrationman ‘A’ School in Meridian, Mississippi in February of 2005, before reporting to his first command, Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Three Zero (VX-30) in Point Mugu, California. There he worked as an F/A-18 Plane Captain for two years and advanced to Second Class Petty Officer before transferring. Following his tour at VX-30, Senior Chief Santa Cruz reported to his first Sea Duty Assignment and went on to serve at Helicopter Mine Counter Measures Squadron (HM) 15, Corpus Christi, Texas. While there he deployed twice to Bahrain, and participated in several detachments and exercises to include several humanitarian assistance and hurricane relief efforts.

Senior Chief’s subsequent tours and deployments include: Strategic Communications Wing (SCW) 1, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), Norfolk, Virginia; deploying onboard the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77); Strike Fighter Squadron Three One at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia; deploying twice onboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71); and Fleet Logistics (VRC) 40, Norfolk, Virginia.

In 2022, he was selected as a Command Senior Chief and after completing the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course in June 2022 he assumed the duties as the Command Senior Chief of one the Navy’s only two Hospital Ships, the USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) out of Norfolk, Va.

Senior Chief’s academic achievements include, a graduate of High Distinction from Liberty University with a Masters of Arts in Executive Leadership, a Graduate Certificate in General Business, and Graduate Certificate in Management and Leadership. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Bellevue University, graduating Magna Cum Laude; and he is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy.

His Warfare qualifications include Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Surface Warfare Specialist, and Information Warfare Specialist.
