NORFOLK (Dec. 19, 2020) The Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Medgar Evers (T-AKE 13) returns to Naval Station Norfolk, Dec. 19, 2020, after completing a four-month deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet, responsible for naval forces in the Mediterranean Sea. Deployed with civil service mariners, Medgar Evers safely executed the delivery of 3.6 million gallons of marine diesel fuel and 980 pallets of vital stores and ordinance during 31 underway and seven at-sea-replenishments with both U.S. Navy and coalition ships from France, Greece, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.
