PACIFIC OCEAN (March 22, 2021) Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Sailors assigned to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD 27) prepare to conduct a replenishment-at-sea with the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE 4). Navy and Marine Corps integration training provides the Essex Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU its first opportunity to plan, brief, and execute multiple mission packages.
