ARABIAN GULF (March 30, 2021) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Abel Paniagua, assigned to guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58), prepares to fire a shot line during a replenishment-at-sea with the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Wally Schirra (T-AKE 8) in the Arabian Gulf. Laboon is supporting the Charles de Gaulle Carrier Strike Group while deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area and conducting naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific Ocean through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
