220424-M-JX780-1223 ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 24, 2022) – A tethered drone lands aboard the expeditionary fast transport vessel USNS Burlington (T-EPF-10) during a fleet experimentation period with scientists working with the Office of Naval Research and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet. The fleet experimentation serves to demonstrate Navy/Marine Corps integration by testing concepts that would be employed during expeditionary advance base operations, evaluating expeditionary systems for force protection and coordinated electronic warfare.
