PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 20, 2022) The Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7) approaches the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), to conduct a replenishment-at-sea in the Philippine Sea, Sept. 20. Replenishments-at-sea increase the capabilities of the U.S. Navy’s carrier force, allowing ships to stay at sea indefinitely by providing, fuel, food and supplies anywhere in the world. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
