Ship in the Spotlight
Congratulations to this week’s “Ship in the Spotlight,” USNS Sgt. William W. Seay (T-AKR 302) for delivering equipment to the southern Philippine island of Mindanao in preparation for Exercise Balikatan 26. This offload marked the first time maritime prepositioning force equipment was delivered in Mindanao, expanding distribution capability and strengthening regional responsiveness. Supporting dynamic maritime sustainment such as this demonstrates how forward-positioned equipment and integrated logistics networks enable forces to respond at the speed and scale required during crises and contingencies.
