The N3 mission is to implement U.S. 7th Fleet and MSC HQ operating policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of MSC Combat Logistics Force, Special Mission ships, prepositioned assets, contracted dry cargo vessels and tankers, and Surge Sealift vessels in peace and war. N3 in peacetime monitors and manages programs designed to improve operational readiness of MSC ships, as well as ensure adherence to Antiterrorism Force Protection and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear policies and procedures for MSC controlled ships.
