200422-N-NO090-0003 MEDITERRANEAN SEA- The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78), USNS Supply (T-AOE 6), and ITS Federico Martinengo (F 596) conduct a photo exercise (PHOTOEX) while conducting joint operations to ensure maritime security in the Mediterranean Sea, 22 April. The frequent seamless operations between the Italian and American navies demonstrate strength and professionalism inherent in steady, practiced partnership. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
