Ship in the Spotlight
This week’s Military Sealift Command “Ship in the Spotlight,” is the MSC chartered ship MV Ocean Gladiator. The ship recently completed its support to Operation Deep Freeze 2025 by conducting a cargo offload of 153 containers of retrograde materials including station waste and recyclables returned from Antarctica, and delivered ice-core samples from Antarctica that will be shared with scientists for further study in Port Hueneme, Calif. The offload marked the completion of MSC’s participation in the annual resupply mission to McMurdo Station, in support of the Joint Task Force Support for Antarctica mission to the National Science Foundation-managed U.S. Antarctic Program. #WeAreMSC #MSCDelivers #UnitedWeSail
