Ship in the Spotlight
This week’s Military Sealift Command “Ship in the Spotlight,” is the fast combat support ship USNS Supply (T-AOE 6). #ICYMI, Supply was recently named the 2024 Military Sealift Command Maritime “E” Award winner, an annual top honor presented to U.S. Navy ships and Civil Service Mariners who demonstrate the highest degree of operational readiness, performance, efficiency, and safety standards during the previous year. During an informal ceremony aboard the ship last month, MSC Atlantic Commodore, Navy Capt. James “Jamie” Murdock presented the crew with the award. Supply’s Ship Master Capt. Peter S. Lenardson said this was the first time the ship had won such a prestigious award. “During the 2024 Maritime "E" grading period, our consistent high performance, even under difficult conditions, demonstrates the unwavering commitment to safety and mission excellence that we must maintain next year to repeat this success.”
