Ship in the Spotlight
Congratulations to this week’s “Ship in the Spotlight,” USNS Watkins (T-AKR 315) for successfully completed cargo operations in Busan, Korea, and supporting U.S. Navy partners and allies in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region during the Korean Regional Forces exercise. The crew of the USNS Watkins hosted several VIPs on Feb. 3, 2026, including U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Jin Pak, Commanding General for 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command and Republic of Korea Transportation Command Commanding General, Brig. Gen. Hyun Seok Bang, U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Jered Helwig, 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, and our own Cmdr. Hanna Shipp, MSC Korea. The visitors commented on both the impressive capabilities the USNS Watkins provides and the professionalism and dedication of the crew. The crew aboard USNS Watkins embodies the MSC motto – “We Deliver!”
