Logistics

The MSC Far East N4 Department directly represents the MSCHQ N4 in all MSC logistics, supply chain, warehousing, food service, stock control and ordnance matters in the 7th Fleet AOR. Based at sites in Singapore, Guam, Korea and Japan and deploying throughout the region, the MSC FE N4 team conducts and coordinates support for all MSC vessels operating in and from the ports and waters of the Western Pacific.
 
In addition to supporting MSC unit requirements, the MSC FE N4 "CLO" team directly supports deployed US Navy war ships by coordinating the loading of all required food, parts, consumable items, mail and other cargo to Combat Logistics Force supply ships for subsequent delivery via replenishment at sea (RAS).

In support of partner nation naval units, the CLO team also plays a direct role in mutual support including properly accounted for transfers of food and urgently needed items. The CLO team also conducts pre-deployment briefings, processes orders from CLF carried inventory, provides pre-RAS guidance to USS units (e.g. what can be ordered from the load port), schedules periodic food inspections, and is directly engaged in exercise development including - most recently - Push Resupply concept development and testing.
